The Tooth Fairy Helps Make Losing Teeth Less Scary

Posted .

Your child should start losing their baby teeth around ages 6 or 7. This can be a frightening time for your child, especially if they have never lost a tooth before. Fortunately, there are things that can help your child feel more at ease when losing their teeth, and one of those things is the Tooth Fairy.

The Tooth Fairy is a little character that rewards your child when they lose a tooth. She appears at night when your child is sleeping. Once your child loses the tooth, they will clean it, put it in a plastic sandwich bag or container, and place it under the pillow. While your child is sleeping, the Tooth Fairy will visit your child, take the tooth, and replace it with something valuable, like money, toys, or treats.

The Tooth Fairy tries to make this phase of life a little less scary, so feel free to tell your child about the Tooth Fairy and let them look forward to the visits they will receive.
